Sectoral Development
1. Special Technology Training for Palmyrah Handicraft
Producers
The special technology training for Palmyrah Handicraft
Producer in North Varani on 04th of April 2018 by Mrs. Bhavani
Thangathurai gave a lecture to 23 members of the women leadership families who
were dependent of the livelihood on Palmyrah Industry.
Furthermore, after this event a Palmyrah based Producer
Association was initiated by Extension Manager Mr. K. Gopalakrishnan and he
also said that the training to the palmyrah based producer by this association
and the market facilities will be provided by the board for quality improved
products.
2. Current data on existing Palmyrah resources are not
available and thus it seems Providing Equipment to the Handicraft producers in
Vallipuram, Allaipitty & Maravanpulam- 2017
